Event Overview
The Excellence in Broadcasting Awards celebrate outstanding achievement in West Virginia’s radio and television industry. Presented annually by the West Virginia Broadcasters Association, these honors recognize exceptional work across a wide range of categories including news coverage, investigative reporting, community outreach, feature storytelling, weather, on-air talent, digital media, and station promotion.
Winners are announced at a yearly banquet in Charleston, where broadcasters from across the state gather to highlight impactful journalism, creative production, and service to their communities. The awards underscore the vital role broadcasters play in informing, connecting, and lifting West Virginia.
